Colin Sutton is Norfolk’s newly elected Police and Crime Commissioner

On Thursday 16 July 2026, Reform candidate Colin Sutton was elected by the residents of Norfolk to be their Police and Crime Commissioner 

Following the resignation of PCC Sarah Taylor, a by-election was held to elect her successor. Seven candidates stood representing Labour, the Green Party, the Liberal Democrats, the Conservatives, Restore Britain and Reform UK alongside one Independent.

Colin Sutton received 32,647 votes in a first past the post ballot system. One of his first tasks will be to consult with the public, partners and the police to set a Police and Crime Plan for the county.

A Declaration of Acceptance of Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk was signed by the new PCC and the Police Area Returning Officer, Trevor Holden at the election count.
