Policy and research
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk (OPCCN) works in three overarching areas of crime policy. They are:
- supporting victims of crime
- preventing offending
- policing.
The organisation has expertise covering these policy areas enabling it to support the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) to make decisions on how to respond to his specific responsibilities.
To be able to support the PCC to meet their responsibilities, it is important that the OPCCN is up-to-date on important policy issues. It maintains its expertise by gathering, analysing and disseminating information key to those PCC responsibilities.
