How does it work?

Throughout the year, the Constabulary and the OPCCN will engage with disabled people, and the charities, organisations and services that support them, to understand the key crime and policing-related issues disabled people are facing.

We will also analyse local and national data to get an accurate picture of what the statistics tell us.

We will use what we learn to create key themes for annual events where there will be focused discussion and problem solving by disabled people, support services, and the police.

How can you get involved?

• You can speak to local services and organisations about the challenges you are facing.
  The Constabulary and OPCCN will be directly engaging with professionals and key organisations throughout the year.
  
  
• You can complete our survey.
  We are running an ongoing survey which can be completed by disabled people, professionals, and representatives of disability organisations. You may complete the survey as many times as you like, so if you submit a response and then have more ideas for discussion topics later please complete the survey again. You can ask a professional or organisation to complete the survey on your behalf if you prefer.

• You can attend our annual events.
  We will be hosting an annual event focusing on a key theme that has emerged from everything we have been told over the last year. We want people to attend so we can hear their views, experiences, and ideas.
