Fraud
Fraud affects thousands of people across Norfolk and leads to losses of over £16 million each year. The financial and emotional impact on victims can be huge, affecting their confidence and feelings of safety. The exploitative methods used by criminals to manipulate people are sophisticated and often target the most vulnerable in society, but anyone can be a victim of fraud.
The Norfolk Community Safety Partnership (NCSP) provides resource and support to the Norfolk Against Scams Partnership (NASP) commitment to taking a stand against fraud. The partnership’s ambition is to make Norfolk a scam free county.
The NASP work together to support residents and businesses in Norfolk to help protect them from scams, doorstep crime and fraud. This is reflected in the Partnerships’ four key aims:
- Raising awareness of scams
- Prevention and protection
- Identification and recording
- Enforcement, access to justice and restoration
