Want to make a difference?
We are currently looking for new members for Norfolk’s Independent Advisory Group (IAG) to play a key role in shaping policing in the county. Our independent advisers are called upon to use their own views, beliefs, community knowledge and experience to give genuinely independent advice about crime and policing issues identified by the public, police or PCC.The dedicated and enthusiastic members of our IAG are a critical friend to Norfolk Constabulary and the PCC Office. Independent of the police and willing to contribute time, energy and commitment to attend regular meetings, the IAG members make a real difference to the way that policing services are delivered in our communities.
The PCC is looking for membership of the IAG to be broadly representative of the diverse communities it serves in terms of age, disability, gender, gender identity, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation.
The role of the IAG is not one of scrutiny, but provides a safeguard against disadvantaging any section of our communities through a lack of understanding, ignorance or mistaken belief.
Those interested in becoming a member of the IAG can obtain an application pack by contacting the OPCCN by telephone 01953 424455 or by emailing OPCCN@norfolk.pnn.police.uk
