Sarah Taylor invites residents to submit questions on policing and crime ahead of first PCC Accountability Meeting with new Police and Crime Plan
Norfolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Sarah Taylor invites you to send in your questions around policing and crime ahead of the PCC Accountability Meeting (PAM) taking place in Wymondham on 16 April 2025 at 10am.
PAMs take place on a quarterly basis and provide PCC Sarah Taylor with the opportunity to publicly question, challenge and hold the Chief Constable, Paul Sanford, and senior officers directly to account on how policing is delivered across the county.
This will be Sarah’s first opportunity to hold the police to account through the scope of her
new Police and Crime Plan, ‘Putting prevention first’ which was launched on 13 March.
In order for your voice to be heard as part of this meeting, PCC Sarah Taylor encourages residents to share their questions with her by 5pm on 1 April 2025.
Sarah said: “With my Police and Crime Plan now launched, I’m very excited to bring in a more prevention focussed approach to holding the police to account.
“I’m really keen to hear from people across all of Norfolk as it is important that your voice is heard in the process of holding the police to account, and the Accountability meetings provide a formal opportunity for this to happen.
“At every PAM I ask questions sent in by the public. By doing this, I can make sure that individual questions are answered about any part of policing or crime prevention. More and more people are taking this opportunity and I would invite residents to get in touch with their questions for the next meeting."
The upcoming PAM in April will provide the PCC the opportunity to gauge policing performance against the new Police and Crime Plan, including reports from the Chief Constable and senior officers on the main priority areas:
• Preventing Crime
• Cohesive Communities
• Reducing Harm
The upcoming PAM will take place on Wednesday 16 April in the Barsby Conference Room at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Building 7, Jubilee House, Falconers Chase, Wymondham, Norfolk NR18 0WW.
The public are welcome to attend and observe the meeting in person and will need to register their attendance by 5pm on Tuesday 8 April 2025 if they wish to do so. To register your attendance, please visit:
