Policing under the spotlight at PCC accountability meeting next week
Policing in the county will once again come under the spotlight as Norfolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) holds his regular Police Accountability Forum with the Chief Constable next week.
PCC Lorne Green will quiz Chief Constable Simon Bailey on progress against the county’s Police and Crime Plan at the meeting at Norfolk Police HQ on Tuesday 12 November 2019.
Items on the agenda will include:
- An update on the police budget and how it is being used to ensure the Norfolk public receives efficient and effective services.
- What the Constabulary is doing to help victims of fraud in the county – including the creation of a ‘Specialist Capability Team’.
- An update on the Emergency Services Collaboration Group.
- How the police are working to deliver a modern and innovative service in Norfolk.
“The Police Accountability Forum is one of the mechanisms through which I hold the Chief Constable to account”, said Lorne. “I’m committed to ensuring my work as PCC is open and transparent, and I’d welcome anyone who would like to know more about the work of their police force to come along to the meeting in Wymondham next week to observe.”
The Police Accountability Forum will take place on Tuesday 12 November between 10am and 12pm in the Filby Room, Norfolk Police HQ, Wymondham, NR18 0WW.
