Norfolk residents invited to meet with PCC Giles Orpen-Smellie

Norfolk's Police and Crime Commissioner Giles Orpen-Smellie is inviting residents to take part in the latest of his 'Time to Talk' sessions to discuss any issues they may have about crime and policing in Norfolk.  

Giles’ next ‘Time to Talk’ event, where people are given direct one-to-one access to him, is due to take place on Friday 18 August 2023.  

The ‘surgery-style’ event will be held virtually and over the telephone, with people being allocated 15-minute slots to raise any questions or concerns.  

Giles’ Police, Crime and Community Safety Plan for Norfolk 2022-2024, launched in March of last year, sets out the strategic direction for policing the county with objectives for how policing services will be delivered in Norfolk. 

Residents with specific policing issues to raise are encouraged to get in touch.

"It is really important to give people the opportunity to speak directly with myself on a one-to-one basis,” said Giles Orpen-Smellie.

"The last few Time to Talk sessions have been really informative and I hope my next event will prove equally as positive and constructive.

Giles' sessions are in addition to the quarterly PCC Accountability Meetings (PAM) he hosts to publicly question, challenge and hold the Chief Constable and senior officers directly to account for their delivery of his plan, as well as to raise questions submitted by people across the county.
