Norfolk & Suffolk Collaboration Meeting
PCCs Lorne Green and Tim Passmore have revitalised the Norfolk & Suffolk Collaboration Panel to discuss opportunities for further collaboration across the two constabularies.Wednesday's meeting, the first since the PCC elections in May 2016, involved senior members of both PCC teams and Chief Constables Simon Bailey and Gareth Wilson, supported by their senior officer teams. The reconstruction of the Norfolk and Suffolk Board demonstrates the commitment of both PCCs to working shoulder to shoulder to the benefit of the Norfolk and Suffolk communities.
Discussions focussed on both PCCs' commitment to improving victim support. They also looked at how both forces were complying with the Victims' Code and were pleased to hear that the commitment to provide a bespoke service tailored to individual needs was paying dividends.
Lorne Green said, "We have made a fresh start in our joint undertaking to provide the best possible service to our respective communities in the most efficient way. Norfolk and Suffolk are on a journey together and this process will be carried forward until the next meeting in Norfolk in a few months.”
Tim Passmore said, "I am really pleased that our collaboration meeting programme with our friends in Norfolk is firmly back on track. It is clear to me that the continued joint working in protective services is having a very beneficial effect for people and businesses in both counties.
"I know Lorne and myself are committed to developing new areas of work on a joint basis such as the new project in body worn videos which will be delivered in June of next year."
