Audit Committee publish Annual Report
A committee of experts whose job is to provide advice on good governance and principles to the county's Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) and Chief Constable, have published their annual report.
The Audit Committee's chairman Rob Bennett recently held a successful meeting with PCC Giles Orpen-Smellie and Chief Constable Paul Sanford to discuss the work of the group and how such independent governance helps their respective organisations.
The annual report highlights the activities undertaken by the Audit Committee at its meetings between 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022.
The committee is independent of the PCC and Norfolk Constabulary.
Members consider the internal and external audit reports of both the PCC and the Chief Constable and provide advice on good governance principles and appropriate risk management arrangements.
The Committee also reviews the Annual Investment and Treasury Management Strategy and monitors delivery of this during the year.
